Tablets

Versatility and brand identity — the format that gives you the widest freedom of shape, colour and taste, on four automatic presses and one laboratory press.

Why the tablet

The format that carries your brand on its face

The tablet offers far greater freedom of shape, colour and taste than any other solid form, while protecting and releasing its actives just as reliably.

You can even invest in your own tooling — the punches used to compress the powder — to create a bespoke tablet format, unique to your brand and impossible to confuse with a competitor's product on the shelf. Coating adds a protective layer, masks taste and gives the finished tablet its colour.

Compression is also the most economical route at high volume: no shell to buy, and a smaller footprint per active milligram than an equivalent capsule.

Frequently asked questions

What tablet shapes and weights are available?
Five standard families: round curved (6, 10 and 12.5 mm, from 150 to 500 mg), round flat (18 and 23 mm, 2 000 to 2 500 mg), breakable stick (7.2 × 19.5 mm and 7.8 × 21 mm, 1 000 to 1 200 mg), large oblong (8 × 22.5 mm, 1 600 mg) and oblong (9.6 × 15.6 mm and 8.5 × 19 mm, 600 to 1 200 mg). Bespoke tooling can be produced for a shape unique to your brand.
Can you produce effervescent or chewable tablets?
Yes. Chewable, effervescent and orodispersible tablets are all part of our standard offer. The choice affects the excipient system and the packaging, so it is best decided at the formulation stage.
What is the minimum order quantity for tablets?
The minimum order quantity is 300 000 units, for a monthly capacity of 50 million tablets.
Why choose a tablet rather than a capsule?
A tablet carries more active per unit of volume, costs less at high volume because there is no shell to buy, and gives you far more freedom on shape, colour and taste — including a bespoke format that is recognisably yours. A capsule, on the other hand, is easier to swallow, needs fewer excipients and protects moisture-sensitive actives better.
